Spider-Man comics

I am a big fan of Spider-Man and have been reading Spider-Man comics since 1997 when I started collecting Panini's Astonishing Spider-Man Collector's Editions comics.

In my opinion, I enjoyed the Clone Saga even though later on, I heard there were some criticisms.

But lately, I'm a bit disappointed with the direction of Spider-Man comics now, even though it is old news.

I am pissed off with the One More Day storyline and the erasure of Peter and Mary Jane's marriage. I grew up reading Spider-Man comics knowing that they were married and now they made a deal with the Devil (Mephisto) to save Peter's Aunt May. I mean, come one, the Devil himself? That is way out of Spider-Man's league! The people who thought up this idea and wrote the storyline should be ashamed of themselves and doesn't deserve to call themselves professional writers.

Think about it, would you sacrifice your marriage for a old lady who is nearly about to croak? I don't mean to disrespect but I surely wouldn't sacrifice my marriage for her!

Gundam Model Kits

I love Gundam model kits. Sometimes I spent too much on them.

Here's a picture of my old collection about 2 years ago.

Ignition Entertainment part 4

This will be the final part about Ignition Entertainment.

Lately, Ignition Entertainment has refused to answer any of my emails ever. Maybe they have a grudge against because I keep on telling them about the glitches or soemthing. They are fools who refused to believe that i am telling them the truth.

Lastly, Ignition Entertainment has announced releases of PAL versions of Fatal Fury Battle Archives vol. 1, SNK Classics Vol.1 and World Heroes Anthology. They all have a Autumn 08 release date but I assume they will delay it again and screw things up again.

Their previous releases were the Art of Fighting Anthology (which I never got) and SNK vs Capcom Card Fighters DS which was never released here for some reason. The game's not good anyway so I'm glad I never bought it. Also, I'm the one who told them about the glitch which occured in the first edition of the US version of the same game.

Ignition Entertainment part 3

Ignition Entertainment's latest releases are KOF XI, KOF Maximum Impact 2, NEO Geo Battle Coliseum and Metal Slug ANtholgy on PS2. Each cost £19.99 esp. KOF MI 2 because the previous game cost £29.99-39.99 (includes a slipcase, expanded instruction manual with move lists and a bonus making of DVD (dubbed translated in English rather than subtitled).

KOF XI and NGBC were released in Europe way before the USA was announced but both of them were riddled with glitches. BAD glitches.

KOF XI: Tizoc, the Mexican wrestler with a griffon mask was called MAI (the sexy ninja) in the character select screen. Come on, how can you compare Mai with Tizoc? Stupidness! Luckily, Mai is not called Tizoc and only applies at the character select screen.

In training mode, when you press reset or default settings in the practice menu, the game freeze. Another bad glitch was that during cutscenes and ending scenes, the text scrolls acrsso the screen, as if they never press the Return key on the keyboard. Lately i have never experienced it that much.
When selecting 50hz, the borders are blue at the bottom. Weird.

NGBC: During winning quotes, there is a quote saying something like 'fool1-4'. I think this is the translator's laziness to translate it.
What's worse is that the endings have NO TEXT AT ALL.

In conclusion, the USA versions of both games are perfect in everything the PAL version could have been. Ignition, if you are reading this, you should have been ashamed of yourselves!

Metal Slug Anthology on PS2 is one of the worse ports ever in Europe. The game has NO 60hz MODE! None! The game now has big black borders on top and bottom and the game looks stretched because it looks like they just ported the PSP version on to a PS2 disc. Luckily there's no loading times like the PAL versions of 4/5 (apartf rom the starting screen).

Ignition Entertainment part 2

Ignition announced that SVC Chaos will be released in December 04/ January 2005 but this got delayed until February if memory serves me. This release has disappointed me.

Firstly, The game was released on a PS2 CD format. Most games are released on DVD format (esp. the Jap version of the game) but putting this game on a CD is a big mistake. The loading times are atrocious at first but you get used to it (I think).

Secondly, there's a glitch in the game where if you pit Athena and Red Arremer together in battle, they are about to have a conversation then the game froze. I contacted IE and they will have a 'look' into it. Yeah right.

Just to let you know, IE has a bad reputation for releasing and delaying games for no reason. For example, KOF 02/03 were meant to be released in June 2005 but got delayed until October I think. They also released Metal Slug 4 and 5 but all of the games mentioned in this paragraphy were released as bundles (02/03 and MS 4/5) in the USA by SNK Playmore USA but not here. IE released them as single releases costing £19.99 EACH. What's even more worse is that they are all released on CD format!

Lastly, Samurai Shodown V was released on CD format as well. The loading times were the worse I have experienced so I refunded/traded, never to be seen again. All the delays caused by IE have no reason at all and also they always screw things up especially their latest releases.

To be continued.

Ignition Entertainment part 1

Hello, everyone. Today I want to talk about a UK-based company called Ignition Entertainment. Some of you may heard of them, some of you may not. But to me, I think they are a good company but also a bad company. Ignition Entertainment (http://http://www.ignitionent.com is a videogame company who are the creators of the Mercury Meltdown games and other obscure games (Teenage Zombies anyone?)

They are a good company because they are the publisher of SNK games for Europe. They started publishing and releasing SNK games since 2004 and they have released SNK games a bit irregularly (more on that later). The first releases were Metal Slug 3 and King of Fighters 00/01 double pack. They were released in about October of that year but KOF got delayed until November for no reason at all.

I was anticipating SNK games to be released here in the UK but sometimes you can't have everyting you want. I bought both games and I love them, esp. KOF 2000.

To be continued.

RPG games

As you can tell from my previous list, I am a RPG nut. I love RPGs after watching a friend of mine playing Final Fantasy 4 on the Super Nintendo (emulation). I don't why I play RPGs in the first place. Maybe it's because they are quite long in length compared to other game genres such as platform games (which I don't play anymore).

The only problem with playing RPGs is that if you have too many and you don't ahve the time to all your other RPGs as well. I have just recently clocked Persona 3 and have played nearly half of Wild Arms 5, then i stopped.
